Basic Instinct 2
I got to see Basic Instinct 2 today. I took the CD from the nearby rental shop (pirated, I guess, even though I do not support piracy) mainly to see how Sharon Stone looked without clothes after all these years. Well, I was disappointed. First of all, she doesn't drop her clothes as frequently as she did in the first one, and she doesn't look great with all those "alleged" extra fittings. For the rest of the film, I must say I preferred the first one. The dialogues were much more real and sharp there, whereas I found them being repeated here, more like active voice changed to passive and vice versa kind of a thing. Also, I preferred Michael Douglas to David Morrissey. I was expecting the second to be not as good as the first, and at least in that sense, I wasn't disappointed. I did catch a glimpse of Indira Verma who I hadn't heard about after Kamasutra. All in all, more hype than substance, I must say.
